Deontay Wilder claims no one gives a f*** about Mike Tyson ahead of Jake Paul fight.

Heavyweight boxer Deontay Wilder has claimed that no one gives a f*** about Mike Tyson ahead of his fight against Jake Paul.

On July 20, Tyson will come out of retirement and take on Paul at the AT&T Stadium in Arlington, Texas.

The fight is set to be streamed on the popular platform, Netflix, who wrote on social media: “It’s JAKE PAUL vs. MIKE TYSON — yes, really! — in a LIVE BOXING event at AT&T Stadium you won’t want to miss. Airing live on Netflix Saturday, July 20 #PaulTyson.”

Ahead of the bout, whilst making his prediction for the fight, Wilder claimed that no one cares about “Iron Mike’.

During an interview with Sportsbook Review, Wilder said: “I think that it’s bad the commission has licensed Mike Tyson because he hasn’t been active in 20 years, so they should not just licence him because of who he is, that’s how people get hurt, god forbid he gets hurt.

“People can get hit in the wrong place and at the wrong time, there’s lots of examples where guys have been hit into a coma. It’s easy to do. He’s too old for this. At the end of the day, no one gives a f*** about Mike. We can talk about the pros and cons, but at the end of the day, they don’t give a f***.”

He added: “I don’t think anyone cares about Mike because if they did they wouldn’t sanction the fight. They may say they’ve done tests and all that, ok, but as long as you’re willing to suffer the consequences if something bad goes wrong.

“His power may not have left completely but you still need to set it up, your stamina needs to be a certain way, or it’s going to look like a clown show. I don’t want to see it to be honest. I don’t want to see one of my legends fight a YouTuber.

“If he goes in there and he knocks Mike out, that’s going to tarnish the reputation of Mike. I don’t want the last thing I remember of him is him getting knocked out by a Youtuber. The last thing you do, that’s what people remember you by.”

Tyson, who's returning to action for the first time since his exhibition against Roy Jones Jr back in November 2020, appears to be in great shape ahead of having another pro fight.

He looks in menacing form as he documents his training on social media.

And the 57-year-old is taking his diet very seriously, too. According to Rogan, the boxing legend is consuming raw meat (!!) in preparation for his fight against Paul.

The UFC commentator said: "He goes, 'I just eat raw meat. I’m eating raw meat'. He goes, 'You’re eating raw meat?' He goes, 'Yeah, I’m eating raw meat'.

"He goes, 'Because that’s what I’m going to eat when I fight. I’m going to eat him, just raw meat'."Jesus Christ, he’s in this f**king mode. He’s in that God of war mode."

Rogan added "Bro, he’s in savage mode. If I was Jake Paul right now, I would be sh**ting my pants."

He also believes Tyson's experience in the ring will be a factor in their summer showdown.

"It’s all the experiences that he has had as a conqueror. You have to take those into consideration," he explained.

"When a man has smashed men before, just smashed men, like when no one could stand in front of him, that is in his mind still. That’s in there."
